ZawayaTECH is not only regarded as the foundation of our group, but it is also expected to play an important role in the reconstruction of Libya through engineering and construction services.
It started operation in 2009 with small scale construction projects and facility management for offices and residential units. By 2012, it had evolved into a full-fledged engineering and construction company. Up until 2023, it has successfully completed the construction of over 80 offices and residential units, along with two multipurpose complexes, and has renovated more than 30 residential units. The company has provided engineering and project management services for more than 260 residential units, conducted engineering and feasibility studies for a 600-ton/day municipal waste management plant, 3000-ton/day cement production plant, AAC plant, precast concrete elements production plants, ice factory and cold storage facility.
In 2019, ZawayaTECH shifted its strategy towards focusing more on providing its premium services to the energy sector, including oil and gas, electricity sector, and the broader industrial sector. To include additional services and products such as Electromechanical Contracting, the erection and maintenance of pipe lines, oil Tanks, water treatment plants, HVAC systems, thermal equipment among others.

Beyond our oil and gas services, Alard Company operates a Power Generation unit that has roots tracing back to 2012. This unit emerged after the merger and acquisition of two former sister companies, Tabket L.L.C, and New Energy L.L.C. In 2012, Tabket L.L.C was incorporated, specializing in general trading of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Due to Libya's prolonged power outages, Tabket concentrated on power generators and secured exclusive agencies from renowned manufacturers, offering diesel and gasoline generators ranging from 3kva to 2000 Kva. In 2018, the power generation units merged with New Energy L.L.C, a company specializing in energy solutions and electrical contracting services. With the volatility of gasoline and diesel fuel prices and availability, along with associated pollution, customers sought alternatives. Embracing Libya's abundant sunshine and consistent solar radiation, the adoption of PV solar power solutions naturally evolved within the market. New Energy Company became a leader in providing and installing diesel and gasoline generators, PV solar power solutions, energy storage systems, and UPSs. In 2023, Alard acquired New Energy, fortifying our position in the industry.

We are a prominent Transportation Solutions provider across land, maritime, and aviation sector. Since 2015, the value of the Libyan currency has been depreciating, significantly impacting purchasing power. This, coupled with increased traffic due to a rising population concentration and inadequate public transportation, among other factors, has highlighted a clear need for transportation solutions. This necessity marked the inception of Swaym Company, which initially focused on motorcycles. The company successfully established agency agreements with international manufacturers, including two-wheeled, three-wheeled, ATV, Jet-Ski and Jet-boat.
Utilizing our expertise and resources, which encompass mechanic and electric workshops, we were approached by the maritime sector to offer maintenance services for engines and a range of mechanical and electrical equipment. In a similar vein, we expanded our services to the aviation industry by providing them with lubricants and spare parts. These initiatives paved the way for our entry into maintenance and spare parts trading for the transportation sector. Presently, we are fully equipped to effectively address maintenance requirements and aftersales inquiries within the industry.
In 2018, SWAYM company obtained the Passenger vehicles and Material Handling Equipment business lines from Tabket Company with the goal of strengthening its standing within the transportation sector. This strategic move positioned SWAYM as a leader not just in the passenger segment but also in the cargo, material handling, and movement market.
In 2020, we proudly pioneered the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) to Libya, specifically in the form of electric motorcycles bearing our registered trademark. We initiated the distribution of both electric and conventional motorcycles. Although Swaym Company may be the smallest component of our group, we acknowledge the substantial potential within the transportation sector. We are enthusiastic about expanding our partnerships and collaborations with international entities.
